Sometimes

Waiting
30 x 30
oil on canvas

Sometimes God tells me to paint a specific subject.  I can then go and paint it, and can feel His spirit leading me.  After that Painting, I go off again in my own path of wondering what to paint.
I want to be the servant who waits to hear from Him again. Sometimes He tells me to try a new combination of materials, and sometimes He leads me to a scripture and the painting comes through starting it on the canvas. Each time I hear from Him it is different. This painting represents the verse from

2 Thessalonians that says, "  And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the Patient Waiting for Christ.  "  I wanted the angel to direct us toward the love of God,  and this includes the patient waiting on Jesus in the midst of this world.
