Made In Heaven Web Series: Perfect Example Of How Digital Giants In India Have Changed

Jodi’s are made in heaven the favorite wedding line. You might have heard this every now and then from many mouths. Amazon Prime Video’s latest outing is themed on this tagline. Made In Heaven is about a wedding-planning agency of the same name. Created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, this drama is about Delhi-based wedding planners and their relating stories. Each episode of it revolves around individual weddings. It is not about the glitter and gold of shaadis, but the real side of it.

Instead, it peels open the wedding planning world to tackle several themes from dowry to impotency and from superstitions to greed. The series offers a critical glance at what happens inside the lavishly packaged wedding videos. As the narrative unspools, directors Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, Nitya Mehra, Alankrita Shrivastava, and Prashant Nair are careful to keep the emotions real; even as they burst the bubble of perfect love and marriage created by pop culture.

Made In Heaven Web Series: The Truth That We Always Deny

Made In Heaven is the perfect example of how digital giants in India have changed. It talks about how the content landscape is changing. In fact, one of the earliest episodes of this nine-episode entertainer had the protagonist Shobita Dhulipala and her screen-husband Jim Sarbh with their hands, legs and tongues all over the screen.

Such lack of inhibition is the most refreshing. The series revolves around Karan (Arjun Mathur) and Tara. How they go into debt because of unsustainably lavish office space.

That is but the tip of their troubles. Some characters may seem obvious at first, but, like may be cosmetically represented. Overall “Made In Heaven” is the sexiest web series India has produced, no doubt about it. The love scenes, both hetero and homosexual, look real with the actors letting loose the kind of unbridled physical passion that was so far forbidden in Indian cinema.
