How to reach Kullu Manali

From the capital of the country, Kullu Manali is approximately 554 km which will take 12 hours of travel.  An interesting fact about Kullu Manali is that there are no direct flights or trains that will take you there.  The only way to reach Kullu Manali is through your own conveyance or by bus.  The nearest railway station to Manali is Joginder Nagar or ChauntraBhater or Ahju railway station.  Bhuntar is the nearest airport to Kullu Manali.  Beyond these points, you will have to depend solely on your own conveyance or take a taxi or bus to scale Kullu Manali.  If you want to explore the rugged side of yourself and the beauty of the valley at the same time, then choose to take a journey on a motor bike.

Several tours and travel companies in and around Manali rent out motor bikes in first class condition.  Instead of hiring a fancy taxi to drive you to Kullu Manali, discover the beauty of the place at every step of your way.  Numbers of tour and travel operators as well as workshops are ready to offer services for hiring a motorcycle in Bhuntar.   Local mechanics also rent out their bikes at a cheap rate but at the time of returning the bike, they will end up hassling you to scoop out more money.

In Manali, the per day rent charges range from INR 1000 to INR 1800 whereas the security deposit is between INR 12,000 to INR 18,000 along with the original copy of valid ID proofs.
