SpeedFest is just over a month away and the track build should start any day now. Owners and Operators Green Savoree Racing Promotions have to setup the concrete block walls and safety fencing within Exhibition Place and onto Lake Shore Boulevard West with the final blocks set just before the race opens. Single day tickets are on sale for the July 13-15, 2018 Honda Indy Toronto from $40 for general admission and from $70 for reserved grandstand seats while two day tickets are available for the best seats during the entire race weekend, Fan Friday is once again free. Attractions like Honda Speed Zone, Honda World, Beer Gardens, Series Paddocks and Thunder Alley complement the racing action.

Getting the 11-turn, 2.89km track ready takes about a month, done mostly in the evening and on weekends to keep traffic disruption to the minimum. The on-track schedule (posted below) for the 32nd annual race is full of open wheel race cars, stockcars and Porsche sports cars with two headline races - Saturday's Grand Prix of Toronto featuring the NASCAR Pinty's Series and Sunday's Honda Indy Streets of Toronto.

"Sunday's feature, the 85-lap Verizon IndyCar Series race, will be extra special for Toronto race fans with the all Canadian team of James Hinchcliffe and Robert Wickens set to take the green flag for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, and Montreal's Zachary Claman DeMelo adding a third Canadian driver to the field for the first time in years. The defending Honda Indy Toronto winner Josef Newgarden and his Team Penske teammate, recent Indy 500 champion and 2016 Toronto victor Will Power, will also join the starting grid. In Saturday's NASCAR Pinty's Series-sanctioned event, the Pinty's Grand Prix of Toronto, Canadian driving hero Alex Tagliani will try to get back to victory circle and have to battle the 2017 race winner Kevin Lacroix."

For your own little racers aged 5 to 12 years, you can enroll them in the Honda Indy Toronto Rookie Racers program. Registration is $25 each and open to a limited number of children so check it out soon if you want them to take part in this adventure.
