Sandeep Singh is an Indian Hockey player who was ex-captain of Indian National Hockey team. He is currently DSP in Haryana Police. He was born in Shahabad, Kurukshetra, Haryana. Under his captaincy India managed to win the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in 2009. He scored 16 goals in 2012 London Olympics. He is also the Arjuna Award winner, only a few are able to achieve this type of awards.
Recently, a biographical film is being made on him named 'Soorma' which stars Diljit Dosanjh & Taapsee Pannu for the first time in Shaad Ali's film.
