Up for some thrill this weekend? How about Andhadhun?
Sriram Raghavan’s thriller Andhadhun is out in theatres and going by the critic reviews and buzz on social media, it does deserve a watch. To add to the excitement is the movie’s cast, Ayushmann Khurana, Tabu and Radhika Apte- a never-seen-before yet super-interesting combination.
If you think that you have the hang of Andhadhun from its telltale trailer, then my dear, you are totally wrong.
Akash, a blind pianist, meets Sophie (Radhika Apte) by accident who in turns helps him land a gig at a restaurant, where he meets a yesteryear star who is also the husband of a young sensuous wife played by Tabu. What follows is completely unpredictable.
If you are remotely interested, here are some tweets to help you decide whether you should watch or skip Andhadhun.
If there’s one hindi film you MUST watch, it is #Andhadhun. By far the best film this year. Sriram Raghavan is a genius! @ayushmannk @radhika_apte @tabuism and the rest of the cast (especially the cop) are superlative. Hope this one is a massive success!

BTW we haven’t seen a great Bollywood thriller in a long time and a delectably funny one at that. Go watch #Andhadhun tomo and say #JaiSriram. This is another Sriram, it is Raghavan.

#Andhadhun is as #SriramRaghavan calls it ‘White Noir’. Things are not hidden in darkness. They are right in the light, but you still don’t see them coming! Most delightful film filled with unpredictability! Big cheers!! #PoojaSurti @ayushmannk @radhika_apte @tabuism @ShridharR

#Andhadhun is possibly the best Bollywood thriller ever. An edge of the seat thriller that keeps making you smile. What a brilliant screenplay. 5/5 @ayushmannk

Right up there with Johnny Gaddaar. Better performed, deeper. If you have to watch one Hindi film this year, #AndhaDhun is the one. Will make the Coens smile. Tabu is Queen! Ayushmann plays it so well that your interpretation of that bloody brilliant end will reveal who you are.

#AndhaDhun You can’t really count the number of times that twists take the story forward, but you savour every bit of it. Besides @ayushmannk, Tabu has as well served a winning performance, rightly complemented by Manav Vij and @radhika_apte.
