How does humanity manage to misunderstand the many ways of life? Why isn't Religion seen for the beauty it with holds, for the intellect it bestows or for the path it shows? Widespread misinterpretation by angry masses cause the beauty and thought behind each religion to fade in comparison to the violence and bloodshed in the name of those very religions. Is this how it was meant to be? Division in religion, caste, sex all on the basis of how those in power tell the powerless to interpret religion. The negative impacts of religion- blind extremism and readiness to take action due to one's personal frustration or vengeance. Riots, murders, mass shootings, discrimination, rapes take place on a daily basis around the world in the name of religion and revenge against other religions. The rulers of nations divide and rule on the basis of religion. Why is there this strict imposition? We are free beings meant to prosper on our own. The power holders do not deserve the power to curtail our freedom. Religion is a way of life- not a weapon. If only the sacrifice of the masses in the name of religion could have only positive impact instead of any negative impact. This world would be exponentially better off. Think for yourself. Your religion does not define your actions.
