Why Infographics?

Infographics are the new trendy thing in content marketing. But do they work? Yes!

They work because over 65% of people are visual learners.

So, doesn’t it seem counter-intuitive to use infographics on a Writing website? No!

People like to see content used in new and innovative ways. Plus, words are beautiful, as I’m sure you’ll agree. I cried once at a Dr. Seuss quote written artistically on a piece of old wood. I own paintings where crumbling book pages provide the canvas.

 Infographics are social media gold!

Many Social Media platforms are build around visual rather than written content, like Instagram and Pinterest. Infographics give authors a way to engage people on those platforms in an effective and legitimate way, by making their words visually appealing.

But to truly generate interest, an infographic needs to be more than informative – it needs to be well designed. Unfortunately, I’m not a graphic designer so I’m only playing around with infographics right now. Here’s a few I’ve created recently:
