I have to admit that this project was a little intimidating at first. If I had to do it over again, I would make a bag or box another way and then add the flamingo to it. This bag was tricky to put together and doesn’t seem to hold a lot of goodies. Still, this Big Shot Pro die is amazing. It comes with a layered flamingo, a layered flower, water and a bag. I only used the back of the flamingo and the wing. There was another layer that I could have added in between. I layered the flower but skipped the water background due to the busy pattern on my bag. I’m very happy with the large size of the flamingo and the fact that it looks great no matter which way it faces. For this project, I used the Sunlight Galore paper pad which is full of coordinating papers which are great for creative paper crafting.

The process for cutting with all of the Big Shot Pro dies is the same. First, select card stock which will be strong enough to hold its shape when folded into a bag. Then, run it through the Big Shot Pro using the die one sheet at a time. The sandwich is the tray, base plate, die, paper face up, crease pad. Then, fold along the score lines and adhere it together. Use hot glue or rolling adhesive to adhere the sides. Practice attaching the two pieces of the bag together before adding any adhesive. After die cutting the flamingo, ink around the edges with distress ink. Attach the flamingo to the bag using glue. Use a bone folder to curl the leaves of the flower before attaching the layers to each other with glue. Attach the flower with glue or foam adhesives. Use a clothes pin to hold the bag shut.
