Early chapters in Bollywood

Shahid’s splendid journey started from his 2003 debut in “Ishq Vishq”, where he played the role of a student. With an image of a cute chocolate boy, he then made a hit in Bollywood starring in “36 China Town”, after almost three years. It was a road of crests and troughs for this man of our hearts, with some inconsistencies in the industry. From failures in the box office to successes like Vivah and Jab we Met, he has slowly made his way to the pedestal and has transformed into a mature artist, who has won many awards among which the one for best actor in Haider is a significant achievement!

Movies like Kaminey and Udta Punjab portrayed his skills as a fine actor and Rangoon did a moderate performance in the box office.

Shahid’s recent release, Padmaavat along with actress Deepika Padukone and actor Ranveer Singh, has stirred the hearts of millions.

The story is based on the legendary Mewar Queen, Rani Padmini, wife of the extremely powerful Rana Rawal Ratan Singh (Shahid’s character). After a lot of debate and discussion and acts of vandalism, the movie was finally released on 25th January, absolutely stunning the viewers with the amazing performance of the cast.

Padmaavat is Shahid’s first release this year and it has proved to be lucky for him! This is the highest grossing film in his entire career so far.That’s a good start for Shahid while he has more to look forward to this year.

All set to release on August 2018, this movie is based on the high electricity bills in India. Director Shree Narayan Singh is here with yet another social issue lurking in India after his Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Also starring Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam, this movie is something we are all looking forward to.

Magadheera Remake

The original movie was released in 2009 starring Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal. This time he will be cast opposite to Pooja Hegde reportedly. Though we are not sure of the dates yet, it is supposed to release this year (2018).

Imtiaz Ali’s next Project

Shahid would also be starring in Imtiaz Ali’s next movie whose details haven’t been revealed yet.
