It is Final Now— Malaika and Arbazz Khan Parted Ways

The Malaika and Arbaaz– the duo has been granted divorce by Bandra Family Court, just a day after they attended the Justin Bieber Purpose Tour together.Malaika was married to Bollywood actor-director-producer Arbaaz Khan in 1998 whom she met during a coffee ad shoot.On 28 March 2016, they announced separation, and later divorced. Together they have a son, Arhaan, born on 9 November 2002.  Her sister is actress Amrita Arora, and her brothers-in-law are Bollywood actor Salman Khan and Bollywood actor-director-producer Sohail Khan. Her father-in-law is scriptwriter Salim Khan.

Malaika has full custody of their son Arhaan and Arbaaz has been granted complete access to his son whenever he wants. The model-actress has neither asked for alimony nor property.

It is rumored that it was Malaika who wanted to be out of this marriage. It is  being said that Malaika has reportedly always had a problem with Arbaaz’s unsuccessful career and was very much bothered by her husband “living in the shadows of his superstar brother.” The source revealed that Malaika always felt like an outsider in the Khan family and that the reason she paid no heed to Salman’s encouragement to continue the marriage was because she never shared a bond with him at all. Reportedly, Salman never approved of Malaika’s dressing style, her work, her friends or just about anything. Malaika Arora was born in Thane, Maharashtra. Her parents divorced when she was 11 years old and she shifted to Chembur with her mother and sister Amrita. Her mother, Joyce Polycarp, is a Malayali Catholic and her father, Anil Arora, was a Punjabi native to the Indian border town of Fazilka, who worked in the Merchant Navy.
