Silver Karshapana of Chedi Janapada

These ancient coins of India were struck somewhere between 400 BC and 350 BC by Chedi Janapada. The denomination of these 3.15 grams round shaped silver Indian coins was Karshapana. They were struck using the Punch Marked technique with four punches on the obverse to depict an Elephant to the left and various indistinct symbols. The reverse of this old Indian coin features a Bankers mark that was used to test the composition of coin.

Square-Shaped Copper Coin of Anga Janapada

These old coins in India were issued by Anga Janapada in 300BC. This square-shaped copper coin was struck using the Punch marked minting technique. The obverse of these old Indian coins featured a six-armed wheel symbol with an arrow head and taurine head spoke with the dot in the centre. It also depicts the sun and three other symbols.

Rare Gold Ahmadi of Tipu Sultan

Here’s an extremely rare gold coin of India that was struck during the reign of the famous Mysore Empire King, Tipu Sultan. The denomination of this stunning Indian coin is Ahmadi which equals Four Pagodas. The diameter of this 13.6 grams coin is 23 millimetres and it was issued in the year 1218 according to Mauludi Year calendar system or Regnal Year 8. These amazing coins of India were produced using the Die-Struck minting technique at Pattan Mint. The obverse featured the Persian legend Muhammad Ahmad Din Dar Jahan Ast Raushan Ze fatah Haider He Ahmadi Zarb Pattan saal Shita Sanah 1218 while the reverse featured the Persian legend “Huwa As-Sultan Al-Waheed Al-adil Tarikh-i-Julus Saal-Sakh Seum Bahari Sanah 8 Julus”

Rare 1/12 Anna Gold Coin of Victoria Empress

This is another extremely rare gold coin of India that was struck during the reign of Victoria Empress. This 1/12 Anna round-shaped coin was die-struck in 2.16 grams gold in 1893 at Calcutta Mint. The beautiful Indian coin has a diameter of 17.5. It features a crowned and robed bust of Queen Victoria along with the text VICTORIA EMPRESS within a raised, toothed border.
