Different Types of Erasers

Tags: eraser paper

Hello Everyone, for this post I wanted to educate everyone on the different types of erasers that one could use. So, here we go then!

First off is the normal classroom eraser. This is the eraser that I use the most as it is effective and cheap, and you can find them just about anywhere. However, they can be a little rough on Paper and if one is too rough then the paper may rip.

Next up is the gum eraser. The gum eraser is a softer eraser that is better suited to multiple types of paper. However, they are not the most accurate eraser due to being softer meaning it will be harder to get sharper lines while erasing.

The third eraser is the kneaded eraser and is sort of like puddy. The kneaded eraser can be shaped and molded to make fine points and works by absorbing pigment, so it doesn’t leave residue like other erasers do.

Fourth up is the pencil eraser or ‘erasil’. The pencil eraser is not the eraser on the end of a #2 pencil, but looks like a pencil with a vinyl tip used for erasing. the tip can be sharpened to a point, but is harsh on paper so it should only be used for fine details.

The fifth and final eraser is the vinyl eraser. The vinyl eraser is made of hard material, and is capable of lifting even ink from a paper. They are used for heavy duty erasing, and because they are so rough they should be used gently and should not be used on delicate paper.

I wanted to apologize for the lack of posts, and would like to ask that if anyone has an idea for a blog post to please send me a message with the idea.
