Getting a perfect Belly is not as easy as one thinks. Just one cheat meal can affect the shape of your curves for good. “How to lose belly fat” is probably the most common question asked in the gym. Well, today we are going to answer that question and get you on track to looking great.

It is important to remember every person is different and doesn’t like the same exercises. Some will choose to lose belly fat through cardio while other will prefer easy but effective exercises to do at home or in the gym.

How to lose belly fat THROUGH CARDIO:

Cardio isn’t for everyone we know, but it’s the best way to start losing that Belly Fat fast.

It is always a good idea to do some cardio in your daily workouts. Cardio is the best solution on how to lose belly fat if you are a beginner or still have a lot to lose. Other exercises like crunches are going to strengthen your muscles underneath all your fat, but that alone will not burn off all the belly fat you want to lose.

The type of cardio you do is not as important as the way you do it.

Different types of cardio:

  • Swimming
  • Jogging
  • Walking
  • Rowing
  • Cycling
  • etc.

All of these exercises can be very effective to lose that upper layer of fat above your abs.

How to lose belly fat IN THE GYM:

  1. The first machine that you can use in the gym to lose belly fat is the pull-up bar. You’ll be surprised how a pull-up bar can strengthen your core. Hang from a pull-up bar, keep your core hard and lift your legs up and down while keeping them straight. This is a very effective move to strengthen your core.   1. The cable machine is also very effective. It can be used to do cable side crunches, normal pulldown crunches, side planks, cable holds and many more.   1. We are all aware of the famous exercise ball. A lot can be done with the simplest equipment. Some of the moves that are effective using the exercise ball are difficult to do, but once you got it you will see the results.   1. The ab-wheel makes most of us cry but probably is one of the best pieces of equipment ever made. The ab wheel gives intense strength throughout your whole core just by rolling the ab-wheel away and towards you while being in the plank position. In the picture below posted by Yurielkaim, you can see how easy this small simple equipment really is.

5. The bench can be used to do crunches, side crunches and crunches with the medicine ball. This is also very good exercises to lose belly fat. The picture below indicates these three exercises (posted by WorkoutLabs and Build Muscle Gym).

How to lose belly fat WITHOUT EQUIPMENT:

  • Planking, planking and more planking! Planking is one of the exercises that not only strengthens your core but much more muscles throughout the whole body.  Below is an indication posted by Valentin Bosioc on how to do planking and what muscles will be getting their daily strength.

  • Most of us will know what bicycle exercises is, but an indication will be provided for those of you who don’t. You basically lay on your back and alternate your knees to your chest. This photo was posted by HIIT academy.

  • Leg raises. This exercise targets the lower part of your core which is very important. Some people never do these types of exercises causing the lower part of their abdomen muscles to stay weak. It is important to focus on all parts of the core to lose that belly fat. So you lay on your back and lift your legs, kept straight, in the air and then back to the floor.   •  Side crunches will target that fat at the side of your core. These muscles also need a lot of attention. It is like doing a normal crunch with a twist. You do a crunch from side to side.  A photo posted by Continental Hospitals best illustrates this exercise.

  • Last but not least we have the V-sit-up. The first position you are in is laying on your back. Thereafter you lift your straight legs and body towards each other to touch your toes. Then you move back into the first position. A picture posted by City Style and Living will illustrate this move better.

The best way however to lose that belly fat will be to combine cardio with the other exercises. Always keep in mind that it does not help working out as hard as you can while you are not eating right. A good diet is a huge requirement.
