In 1997, he was recognized by the Council of Fashion Designers of America as a rising young talent in its first-ever Scholarship Competition. He worked as a creative director for Bill Blass but left in 2008 to focus on his namesake label. He is known for his clean lines and flattering cuts.  Peter's clientele includes celebrities such as Scarlett Johansson, Claire Danes, Camilla Belle, and Natalie Portman.
