Happy Friday! It has been so nice having a full week at home after being in New York last week. I started the week off feeling under the weather, but it didn’t stop me from being super productive! We have a lot of things in the works from existing client projects and brand new client projects as well as getting ready to move into our new office and an exciting new venture that I will announce soon. We are in the midst of renovating the new office space which has, of course, come with some unexpected challenges as most renovations do. In the end, I know that it will all be worth it, but we are still a few weeks away. In the meantime, here is a bit of what has been on my mind.

Design: The October issue of House Beautiful features a stunning house in Palm Beach designed by Ellen Kavanaugh. The 1920s Mediterranean-Moroccan style house feels at once timeless, yet completely fresh. I especially love the kitchen pictured here!

Style: It’s so fun keeping up with fashion week– or at least trying! One of my favorites from London Fashion Week was the Spring 2019 Roksanda Collection. The collection is filled with feminine details and a classic palette, punctuated with some fun moments of color, like this beautiful pink gown. You can view the full collection here.

Watch: If you watch Bravo as devotedly as I do, then you’re likely familiar with Michael Rappaport, Bravo super fan, fixture on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, and long-time actor. Does anyone remember when he played Phoebe’s cop boyfriend on an episode of Friends? He was recently on WWHL promoting the second season of his show, Atypical, which airs on Netflix. I hadn’t heard of it, but decided to check it out last weekend and I absolutely love it. The show centers around a family– Michael plays the dad, Jennifer Jason Leigh is his wife, and they have two children– a teenage boy and girl. The boy, Sam, is on the autism spectrum and Atypical showcases the heartwarming and heartbreaking reality of a boy in his shoes. The show makes you laugh and cry all at once and is definitely worth a watch. You can see the latest trailer here.

Event: Houston’s famed Theta Charity Antiques Show is just around the corner and will take place November 16th -18th. This year’s line-up includes keynote discussions by Miles Redd, Suzanne Kasler, and Carolyne Roehm. Meanwhile, I will be leading a Designer Walk on Friday, November 16th at 9:00 am, where I will share my favorite finds from the show and answer questions before the show opens to the general public. The groups for the Designer Walks are intentionally kept small, so be sure to purchase a ticket before they sell out!

Health: I just had a very comical conversation with Fabian the other day about his lunch choices. He was really proud of himself because he’d ordered grilled chicken and vegetables for lunch, but it just so happens that the vegetables were mashed potatoes and corn, so I had to explain that not all vegetables are created equal, which led to a further explanation about carbs and starches. I may just point him to this super helpful article that I just read: The Most Common Questions a Nutritionist is Asked.

Shop: I don’t usually wear a ton of prints or patterns when it comes to my wardrobe, but lately, on my Book tour, I have been. I’ve been careful to ensure that my outfits for book events don’t clash with the book cover and have found some fun, festive dresses and tops that I most recently wore in New York, including the Stine Goya dress pictured below. I currently have my eye on this chic DVF number as well as this gorgeous Temperley London Maxi Dress, but haven’t yet pulled the trigger.
