A High-Rise Jewelbox

I am off to New York again today for another whirlwind trip! I did a quick tally and I have had four work trips in just as many weeks over the last month. The crazy thing is that all of the travel is both inspiring and exhausting. I am looking forward to being home for a good stretch once I am back from New York this weekend.

The new issue of ELLE DECOR just hit newsstands a couple of days ago and since I am off to New York for an event with ELLE DECOR, I gravitated towards this glamorous apartment in one of the tallest buildings in Manhattan, right off of Central Park. Designers Jamie Drake and Caleb Anderson of Drake/Anderson were at the helm of the project. The clients are a pair of siblings and their families who wanted their New York pied-a-terre to feel like a respite in the clouds. Together, the designer duo set about modernizing the apartment and creating the neutral palette the clients had asked for, cleverly imbuing it with carefully selected touches of color along the way. The chic modern lighting and sumptuous fabrics throughout the house take the space to the next level, punctuating each room with an infusion of glamour. For the full tour, be sure to pick up the June issue of ELLE DECOR.
