BARCELONA BID £72 MILLION TO GET COUTINHO FROM LIVERPOOL

Barcelona have revived their interest in Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho. They have bid €80 million (£72 million) for Coutinho but Liverpool have rejected it and want to keep their star man.

Barcelona will try again with a bid above the £75 million they paid the Reds for Luis Suarez with Neymar keen on the deal bringing his fellow Countryman to the Spanish giants.

This was always an annoying possibility as Coutinho is one of the most gifted attacking midfielders in the Premier League and was bound to attract the interest of Barca or Real Madrid sooner rather than later.

While Liverpool themselves have been bidding big sums on Naby Keita of RG Leipzig to no avail, Barcelona want Coutinho to join up with Luis Suarez again at the Nou Camp.

Let us hope that the little magician from Brazil rejects their overtures for another Season and remains a Liverpool player for another vital campaign in the Premier League.
