Singer Christina Grimmie, who competed in the season 6 on NBC’s The Voice in 2014, was shot dead on Friday night after a concert in Orlando, Florida, police said.
“With deep regret, we have confirmed Christina Grimmie, @TheRealGrimmie has died from her injuries,” Orlando police tweeted today.

Grimmie, 22, performed with the band ‘Before You Exit’ at The Plaza Live last night. She was signing autographs after the show when somebody walked toward her and shot her around 10:45 p.m. local time, Orlando Police Department said. Grimmie’s brother caught the gunman but he(gunman) shot and killed himself.
“Her brother is a hero for saving and stopping him from not hurting anyone else,” Orlando police spokesperson Wanda Miglio said at a news conference, according to ABC News.
Other details of the shooter and the motive of killing are not yet known, but it has left her family,fans and friends in deep shock.
On Friday, Grimmie had posted a selfie-video to inform her fans about the concert in Orlando.

Grimmie reached till the third place in Season 6 of The Voice in 2014. A tweet from the show’s official handle said -
